Alexandra Sagastume, B.A., BCaBA

Alexandra Sagastume, B.A., BCaBA is a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst who has worked with children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental delays since 2013. She completed her Bachelors degree in Psychology from Florida International University in June of 2010 and soon after began working as a school teacher with pre-school and elementary aged children. This is where her interest in working with children with developmental delays began.

In January 2013, Alexandra began working with World Evolve in Miami, Florida while maintaining her job as a school teacher. By October of that year, she made the decision to switch careers and pursue her new found passion for Applied Behavior Analysis full time. First working for the Easter Seals South Florida’s Autism Academy part time and later working for World Evolve full time.

After completing the necessary coursework for the board exam through Florida Institute of Technology, Alexandra became a BCaBA in May 2016. During her time at World Evolve she worked as a behavior therapist and later a BCaBA, gaining experience in developing and implementing skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs, parent training, as well as participating in and helping lead a BACB exam preparation project.

In January 2018, Alexandra moved to Hawai’i to join ABC Group. She is excited to be working alongside and learning from this experienced group of behavior analysts. She is an active member of the Association of Behavior Analysis International (ABAI) as well as the Hawai’i Association for Behavior Analysis (HABA).

Alexandra’s professional interests include behavioral pharmacology, organizational behavior management, and parent training.
