With 30 years in the field of ABA, Dr. Amy is a Licensed and Board Certified Behavior Analyst- Doctoral Level. She founded ABC Group Hawaii in 2006 after identifying a need for ABA services in Hawaii. Dr. Wiech co-founded Autism Training Solutions (ATS) in 2008, now part of Relias, and was active in the passing of legislation to require health insurance funders to cover ABA treatment in Hawaii.
Dr. Wiech got her start in the field of developmental disabilities during the grade school and high school years. Given the opportunity to assist adults with developmental disabilities, volunteer work was her entry platform into the field of special education. After teaching Special Education for a few years in public school, Dr. Wiech was drawn back to ABA, and completed her Masters and PhD at the University of Hawaii. A Board Certified Behavior Analyst since 2004, Dr. Wiech has worked with beginner through advanced learners ages 14 months through adulthood with developmental disabilities including autism for more than 30 years. Her professional interests include staff training, clinical excellence, Organizational Behavior Management (OBM).
Professional memberships include the Association for Professional Behavior Analysts (APBA), Council of Autism Service Providers (CASP), the Hawaii Association for Behavior Analysis (HABA), Association of Behavior Analysis International (ABAI). Dr. Wiech also maintains a State of Hawaii Teacher license to teach Special Education grades K-12 and is a Certified Safety Care Trainer.
